$15 a what?!?

I have been in the telemedicine game for a couple of years now.


And I have become very familiar with the pros and cons of working for big telemedicine companies instead of starting your own.


Honestly, I believe some amazing telemedicine companies treat NPs very well.


However, most of them do not.


And it starts with the disrespect that comes with offering us $15 per patient.


OMG! Where do I even start?


I mentioned this on my page a few days ago, and one NP said she choked on her wine.




Yes! That's how horrible $15 per patient sounds.


And you know what's worse?


$15 is on the high end.


I get offers from companies that want to pay me $7-$10 per patient.


And the more the demand for these jobs...


The less the rates go.


Okay, so what?


You'll be working from home... you can do this part-time... and it's much easier than working a full-time job.


But if you go down this route...


You're only creating another job for yourself...


Because an organization controls your freedom...


You can't take days off without putting in a request...


And you’ll make around the same amount per patient in your full-time job.


So, what's the point?


What's the point of being another warm body filling a position and getting poorly compensated for it? Yuck!


Look...


The average amount I make per patient is around $200




But when you subtract expenses, it's about $75-$150 profit.


So, if someone is offering you $15 per patient... and you want to add an extra $5k/m on the side.


You have to see 333 patients per month.


But if I or my students want to add an extra $5k/m on the side.


We only have to see about two patients a day...


Because we make atleast five times more per patient.


See what I mean?


Don't limit yourself, .


You have the potential to do more... and $15 per patient will not cut it.
